Special Day Classroom (SDC) teachers play a critical role in supporting students with diverse needs. To ensure student success, SDC teachers must effectively lead and manage their support staff. This presentation outlines strategies for supporting SDC teachers in this endeavor. Challenges Faced by SDC Teachers 1. *Managing diverse staff*: SDC teachers often supervise multiple support staff, each with varying levels of experience and training. 2. *Complex student needs*: SDC students may have severe disabilities, requiring specialized support and accommodations. 3. *High staff turnover*: Support staff turnover can be high, disrupting classroom continuity and requiring frequent training.
